Community acupuncture is a nationwide movement to create access to acupuncture by removing the barrier of cost from healing. We offer treatment in a group setting and charge on a sliding scale. Each individual can choose the fee that fits their ability to pay from $20-40 with no question asked. We use acupoints on the scalp and below the elbows and the knees to treat the entire body. So, there’s no need to undress – just remove your shoes and roll up your pants and sleeves. We can even address your back pain by treating your wrists.
*There is a $10 one-time registration fee at your 1st appointment.
This technique refers to the insertion of tiny needles into specifically defined acupoints, in order to stimulate the flow of energy or Qi, and restore the body’s natural balance. Acupoints are located along the twelve meridians which link the organ systems and tissues. Acupuncture is often used in conjunction with a heat lamp and mild electrical stimulation.
Either heat or suction is used to create a partial vacuum in a cup that is placed on the skin. Capillary vessels- under the skin, and blood flow to the muscles are stimulated, the pores are opened, and blockages in the meridians are removed.
Herbal therapy for phototherapy utilizes herbs as well as minerals and metallic sources for healing. Our practitioners work with an herbalist. The practitioner will prescribe a course of treatment, and the herbalist will fill the prescription for the patient.
